Keep calm and chive on at Cascadia’s Cornucopia

Tyson Kemper is back to talk with us about the culinary allium, commonly known as the onion. The stalk-like plant is currently growing in the Cornupia, but before you plan your next salsa dish, potato salad garnish, or chive soup, listen to our expert share some harvesting tips. Cascadia hopes to provide a sustainable area where the plants will return year after year for your dietary needs. Green tip: Cut the chive from the leaves. Do not pull up the plant by the root.
